Karatina University hosted the East Africa Multipliers Lounge conducted in two phases. Phase one was held from 3rd to 5th September, 2019 and phase two with effect from 3rd to 5th December, 2019. Participants from selected universities in Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania participated in the event on Ethics in Social Science Research.

The objectives of the programme were to enhance the institutionalisation of research ethics culture in East Africa’s universities through capacity building, establish and sustain partnerships at national/regional levels for advancing research ethics in social science research and facilitate the creation of research ethics communities of practice in East African Universities.

The programme was sponsored by DAAD and phase two workshop was officially opened by DAAD Regional Director, Ms. Beate Schindler-Kovats.
