Job Description for Senior Lecturer

i) Teach and assess courses in one’s discipline at both undergraduate and
postgraduate level
ii) Supervise undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programmes
iii) Supervise dissertations/theses at the graduate level.
iv) Develop undergraduate and postgraduate courses
v) Initiate, promote and participate in research projects
vi) Participate in academic leadership programmes
vii) Provide professional and community services and initiate linkages and fundraising.
viii) Carry out administrative and other duties & responsibilities as may be assigned

Job Requirements for Appointment

i) Must have an earned Doctorate degree or its academic equivalent.
ii) Must have at least four (4) years of teaching or research experience at University
level since becoming Lecturer.
iii) Show evidence of supervision of postgraduate degree students
iv) Must have attended and contributed at academic conferences, seminars or
workshops.
v) Must have a minimum of 4 publications in refereed journals since appointment as
Lecturer.
vi) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya.

Job Description for Deputy Dean of Student

i)Advising the Student Governing Council (SGC) in matters concerning its functions and regulating its expenditure;
ii)Administration of Students’ Organization elections and overseeing its smooth transition;
iii)Clearing of internal and external students’ correspondence and providing secretarial assistance;
iv) Coordinating in conjunction with the students’ organization various types of entertainment for students.
v) Receiving students’ disciplinary cases and processing them for Disciplinary Committee;
vi) Supervising and coordinating all students’ publication;
vii) Maintaining a communication between the University administration and the students through their organization;
viii) Helping in clearing students leaving the country in conjunction with the Ministry of Education;
ix) Planning, preparing and directing student’s welfare activities;
x) Keeping in safe custody all Students Organizations equipment and maintaining records of students’ equipment;

Job Description for Accountant I

i) Maintaining accounts, monitoring expenditure and payments;
ii) Supervising bank reconciliations;
iii) Preparation of financial reports, statements, budget, financial analysis;
iv) Implementation and enforcement of policies and regulations;
v) Ensure expenditure and payments are properly authorized;
vi) Verification of payment vouchers, payment schedules and ledger postings;

i) Master’s Degree in finance or accounting field from a recognized institution

Job Description for Security Officer

i) Supervising the management of security functions office,
ii) Ensuring the serviceability of electronic security surveillance appliances plus regular testing of alarm equipment;
iii) Carry out administrative duties in the unit such as fire drills;
iv) Investigating cases relating to fraud, accidents, loss of property and make the necessary reports;
v) Represent the institution in court when necessary;
vi) Maintaining close liaison with police on security information and follow up court cases;
vii) Ensuring effective security is maintained for University property, staff and students;
viii) Welfare matters and supervision of staff, staff training and capacity building; and

Job Requirement for Security Officer

i) Bachelor’s Degree in a security related field from a recognized institution
ii) Worked in disciplined/uniformed forces as an Inspector for at least five (5) years.
iii) A clean record of discharge from the uniformed forces
iv) Demonstrate outstanding administrative ability in controlling security attendants
v) Physical and mental fitness
vi) Good knowledge of Information Communications Technology
vii) Has acquired skills and knowledge in firefighting and rescue or prevention and protection

Job Description for Webmaster I

i)Design, develop and maintain the university’s website and content to ensure it is attractive; and information clearly understood by customers and stakeholders;
ii)Enhance maintenance and security of the organization’s website through control, regulate and manage access rights of different users on website;
iii)Ensure the web servers, hardware and software are operating accurately;
iv) Oversee and coordinate content management and user experience.
v)Create and maintain a consistent Web site architectural structure.
vi) Monitor, analyze, and report on Web site traffic and downloads through Google Analytics
vii) Examine and analyze site traffic to get a greater insight about the habit and behaviors of your users in order to provide them with relevant information and meet their needs.
viii) Create and maintain a consistent look and feel across the Web site by promoting uniform fonts, formatting, icons, images, and layout, and creating appropriate templates to assist content authors.
ix) Find, diagnose and fix Web site problems, including broken links (both internal and external).

Job Description for Senior Driver I

i) Operation of vehicles, detection and reporting common faults and Keeping the vehicles clean;
ii) Maintenance of work ticket for vehicles as assigned;
iii) Ensuring safety of the vehicle; and
iv) Any other duties as may be assigned by a Senior Officer.

Job Requirement for Senior Driver I

i)Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) mean grade of at least D+ (Plus) or its equivalent
ii) Valid driving license at least class BCE free from any endorsement
iii) P.S.V license for bus and mini/bus (for bus and minibus drivers)
iv) At least fifteen (15) years’ work experience in heavy Commercial transport
v) Certificate of Good conduct
vi) Computer literate
vii) Occupational Trade Test I
viii) Basic certificate on first Aid and occupational health and safety
ix) Public relations, defensive driving and professional tests qualifications
x) Fulfilled the requirements of Chapter Six of the Constitution of Kenya
xi) Additional qualifications in a relevant field will be an added advantage.
