FRONTLINE STAFF TRAINING HIGHLIGHTS ESSENTIAL PUBLIC RELATIONS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE SKILLS

Frontline staff who attended the Public Relations and Customer Service Training

In fulfillment of one of the 2023/2024 Performance Contract targets, the University, through the Corporate Communications Office, held a one-day training on Public Relations and Customer Service for Frontline Staff on Friday, 6th October, 2023. The training was also in celebration of the Customer Service Week, 2023 which was observed from Monday, 2nd to Friday, 6th October, 2023.

The 2023/2023 Performance Contract has listed, among its targets, the implementation of the Citizens Service Delivery Charter and Resolution of Public Complaints.

The more than fifty (50) participants were taken through Building a Customer-Centric Organization (Dr.Stephen Macharia, Department of Human Resource), Customer Experience vs Customer Service (Prof. Juliet Macharia, Communications Expert, Department of Human Resource), Customer Enquiries and Feedback Management (Dr. Kahura Ndung’u, Department of Human Resource), Understanding Customer Personalities (Dr. Alice Kamau, Senior Lecturer, Department of Human Resource), Public Relations Skills (Ms. Ruth Kendagor, Lecturer, Communication and Public Relations, Department of Human Resource), Conflict Management in the Workplace (Mr. Peter Ngugi, Senior Assistant Dean of Students) and Sensitization on the Karatina University Citizens’ Service Delivery Charter (Ms. Brendah Kabindio, Corporate Communications Officer).
