This is to bring to your attention that the counselling section wishes to identify suitable students to be recruited and trained to become effective peer counsellors.
The selected individuals will undergo training in the following areas:
- Basic psychological counselling skills
- Prevention of Drugs and Substance Abuse
- University policies related to students’ day to day experiences in the university.
- Psycho social and academic implications of COVID 19 amongst university students.
- Mental health among university students
- Assertiveness skills training
- Strategies for promoting self-esteem
This is therefore to invite applications from interested students.

The applications should include among others, Contact, registration number, residence, the year of study and the Degree programme one is undertaking.

- Town Annex – 10(ten) trainees
