8^TH GRADUATION CEREMONY(VIRTUAL)

Karatina University is pleased to announce the 8^th Graduation Ceremony. The Ceremony will be virtual and broadcasted from Karatina University Main Campus on Friday, 12^th March 2021 at 9.00 a.m.

All graduands are advised to take note of the following pertinent information:

Confirmation of Results and Names: The list of graduands will be available on University website: www.karu.ac.ke from Monday 1^st March, 2021. Confirmation of examination results, accuracy and order of names SHOULD be made with the respective Deans of Schools latest by Friday 5^th March, 2021 to allow for production of certificates.

Clearance: All graduands are expected to clear ONLINE with the respective departments of the University by Friday, 5^th March, 2021 failure to which, their names will be struck off the graduation list.

Graduation Fees: Graduands are required to pay Alumni fees of Ksh1,000 in addition to convocation and Gown fee as follows:

500. i) Diploma –KES 4,500.00; ii) Undergraduate- KES 5,500.00; iii) Masters–KES 6,500.00;

PhD-KES 8,500.00. This will be Less KES 1,000.00 for those not hiring the Academic Attire(Gown).

Academic Attire: The attire will be issued from respective schools from Monday, 1^st March, 2021 (during working hours) upon full clearance and payment of graduation fees.

Rehearsal: The rehearsal is an integral part of the graduation ceremony and invited graduands to participate on the limited slots at the campus must attend the rehearsal on Thursday 11^th March 2021 from 10.00 am.

Return of Gowns: All graduands are expected to return the academic attire by the date indicated on hiring contract. A penalty of KES.500.00 per day shall be levied for any attire returned after the deadline.

Invitation e-Cards: All Graduands will receive e-cards for circulation to friends and relatives.
