On Thursday, 15th September 2022, Karatina University hosted students from Kaplong Girls High School from Bomet County. The two hundred and seventy four students (274), mainly in their last year of secondary education, were on an academic mentorship visit.
The students toured the University and were later engaged in a mentorship session where they were given an overview of the University and the programmes it offers. They were further guided on specific courses including but not limited to Nursing, Food Science and Nutrition, Human Nutrition and Dietetics, Business Management, Education, Agricultural Sciences, Mathematics, Statistics and Actuarial Sciences.
The visit was coordinated by the Centre for Community Outreach assisted by the Office of the Registrar (Academic Affairs), select Schools, Dean of Students Office, Library and Hostels Office.
