Karatina University, through the Office of the Dean of Students and in collaboration with the KARUSA Student Governing Council, officially launched the Karatina University Students’ Association (KARUSA) Constitution on Katiba Day, marking a significant milestone in the university’s student governance calendar.

The audience keenly following through the promulgation of the KARUSA Constitution.
The event brought together students, student leaders, and university management and members of staff to celebrate the formal adoption of the governing document that outlines the rights, responsibilities, and structures of student representation at the university.

The new constitution, approved earlier in 2025, provides a comprehensive framework for democratic student leadership, participation, and accountability within the student body. It articulates the roles of the Students’ Governing Council, membership rights, and mechanisms for inclusive and transparent governance, reinforcing students’ voice in institutional decision-making.

The student leadership posed for a photo with the Vice Chancellor, the Deputy Vice Chancellor (ARSA), the Returning Officer and his Deputy, as well as the Dean of Students.
The launch event not only commemorated the constitution’s promulgation but also reinforced the University’s commitment to fostering leadership, civic engagement, and academic excellence among its students.
