Karatina University Choir on stage
The Karatina University Choir has done us proud by emerging champions, out of eighteen (18) competitors, in the Festivals’ set piece ‘Kenya Nchi Yangu’. They also emerged winners out of fourteen (14) competitors in the Own Choice Sacred class as well as the composition of the National Syndemic Diseases Control Council (NSDCC).
The team also emerged 1st runners up in the execution of the Kenya national anthem, East African anthem and composition about Kenya. The poetry group emerged winners in the Solo set verse category in Kiswahili. Three items have been selected for a Gala event set for Saturday, 18th March 2023. The team expects to win more classes as results continue to trickle in as the Festivals near the end.
The ongoing 2nd Kenya Universities Performing Arts Association (KUPAA) Music Festivals at Maasai Mara University officially started on Monday, 13th March 2023, and has attracted a total participation of thirty two (32) universities.
