A Standard Media Group team visited the University for a career talk on Friday 11th March 2022, The team led by their Group Human Resource Manager ,Ms. Joy Kaguri was received at the University by the Director University Industry Linkages and International Programmes, Prof. K. L. Wanjau
The Director noted that such talks were important to the students in helping them package themselves for the job market and in bridging the gap between what is taught in a classroom and industry requirements
The talk covered Standard Media Group products and departments, Career opportunities, Education requirement, Skills required and Internship opportunities.
The Bachelor of Communication and Public Relations and Bachelor of Science in Information Science students also had an interactive session with the Standard Media editorial, broadcast and commercial team who were also on the ground.
