On Thursday, 7th May 2026 Karatina University marked a significant milestone with the graduation of the second cohort of trainees under the Media Training Centre programme coordinated through the Directorate of Community Outreach.
The graduation ceremony was presided over by the Vice-Chancellor, who commended the continued growth of the programme and described the graduation as an important achievement in the University’s efforts to empower communities through skills development and lifelong learning opportunities.
The graduates expressed their gratitude to the University for the opportunity to undertake the short course, noting that the training had equipped them with practical knowledge and valuable skills relevant to the media and communication industry.
The programme, organized through the Directorate of Community Outreach in collaboration with the Media Training Centre, continues to provide accessible training opportunities aimed at enhancing professional development and community empowerment.
