On 22nd April 2026, Karatina University hosted Dr. Beatrice Inyangala, Principal Secretary in the State Department for Higher Education, who paid a courtesy visit to the institution. She was received by the Vice-Chancellor, Prof. Linus M. Gitonga, alongside members of the University Management Board. She was accompanied by a Council representative from the State Department for Higher Education.

During the visit, Dr. Beatrice Inyangala toured key University facilities and engaged with members of the University Senate, student leaders, and a section of students at the Mwai Kibaki Library.

In her address, Dr. Beatrice Inyangala commended the University for its strong governance, financial prudence, and commitment to academic excellence, noting that these form a solid foundation for institutional growth and national development.
She emphasized the critical role of educators in shaping both the knowledge and character of students, highlighting that the values instilled within the classroom directly influence the future of society.
